The Sky Sports cameras are in town as Derbyshire Falcons take on Lancashire Lightning on Wednesday 13 July at The 3aaa County Ground for the second NatWest T20 Blast match at Derby in four days.

After an agonising one-run loss to Yorkshire Vikings on Sunday the Falcons will be looking to get back to winning ways as soon as possible against a side they comprehensively defeated on the opening weekend of this year’s tournament.

The Falcons’ match on Sunday saw a number of individual performances to catch the eye as Hamish Rutherford hit 44 at the top of the order, whilst Neil Broom and Chesney Hughes also continue their strong form with the bat by hitting 37 and 35 respectively.

The addition of Ben Cotton is the only change to the Falcons squad from the Yorkshire match.

Reigning Champions Lancashire are enjoying a mixed defence of their crown and have won three of their last five matches, whilst also losing three of their last five away matches in the competition.

In their most-recent victory over the Worcestershire Rapids, Jos Buttler hit a half-century off 20 balls, their fastest ever fifty in the NatWest T20 Blast. He will, however, sit out Wednesday’s fixture after breaking his thumb during his explosive innings.

The Lightning sit one place above the Falcons on nine points, but just two points separate fourth and eighth in the North Division.

Lightning squad: Steven Croft, Karl Brown, Nathan Buck, Jordan Clark, George Edwards, Arron Lilley, Liam Livingstone, Saqib Mahmood, Tom Moores, Stephen Parry, Alviro Petersen, Luke Procter, Luis Reece
