Wayne Madsen has been named as the Showcase Cinemas de Lux Player of the Month for June, after securing 72% of the vote.
Supporters have been voting on the Club’s Official Twitter page for their Player of the Month for the month of June. The award is sponsored by Official Family Partners, Showcase Cinemas de Lux.
This is the second time this season that Madsen has been awarded Player of the Month, having also achieved the accolade in April.
The 32-year-old showed his mettle with back-to-back centuries in the Specsavers County Championship and, at the end of the month, was the highest run scorer across both divisions with 761 runs and scored a total of 448 runs in June.
In second place was Ben Cotton who himself had a great June with 17 wickets and a List A career best of 4-43, and third was Billy Godleman after his superb double-ton against Worcestershire – his first of his career.
