Rain cut short the final day of the Second XI Championship fixture versus Yorkshire at Belper Meadows, as the match was drawn.
Tom Milnes produced a fine all-round performance, scoring 113 runs in the match and claiming three scalps, but early wickets in the second innings against a strong Yorkshire attack had put the hosts on the back foot going into the final day.
Callum Parkinson tops cored with 26 while Milnes hit 24, but three wickets for Jack Brooks (3-7) and two apiece for Jordan Thompson (2-17) and Matthew Waite (2-14) helped dismissed Derbyshire for 103, a lead of 134.
However, as the players left the field the rain arrived. An early lunch was taken but there was no let up with the rain.
A couple of inspections took place but play was finally abandoned at 3.30pm with the game ending as a draw. Yorkshire take 11 points and Derbyshire 12.
