90 from Neil Broom and a half-century from Billy Godleman helped Derbyshire set Leicestershire 261 to win but rain stopped play two balls into the Foxes reply and the match was abandoned.
The hosts won the toss and elected to bat first, but lost Ben Slater, who hit a career-best unbeaten 148 the previous day, early on with Derbyshire 17-1.
After Slater’s early dismissal, Wes Durston (30) and Godleman put on a partnership of 66 before Callum Delport caught Durston off Raine (3-62) at the second time of asking leaving the Falcons on 83-2 off 18 overs.
Wayne Madsen (5) took to the crease to replace Durston, but lasted just over four overs before being bowled by Kevin O’Brien, before Godleman fell shortly after for a well-made 66 with the Falcons 117-4.
A partnership of 74 then flourished between Alex Hughes (30) and Broom that ensured the hosts would post a competitive total, with Broom passing his first List A half-century for the Club.
Broom was joined by Jimmy Neesham and the Kiwi duo added late impetus to take Derbyshire to 260-6 at the end of their 50 overs with the former being bowled for 90 from 86 balls off the penultimate ball, and the latter finishing on 26 not out.
The interval came leaving a target of 261 for the visitors, but just two balls into the reply the rain arrived and after several inspections and an attempt to resume proceedings, the match was abandoned.
The result means the Falcons end their Royal London One-Day Cup group campaign on seven points and miss out on qualification for the quarter-finals.
