Ian Morgan OBE has been appointed Chairman of Derbyshire County Cricket Club following the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 29 March.
Morgan, who was awarded an OBE in 2015 for services to business in the East Midlands, was confirmed as Chairman after the six members of the Club’s Supervisory Board were formally elected at the AGM, all standing unopposed.
The following Members have been elected to serve on the Supervisory Board in the specific roles for which they meet the qualifying criteria;

Morgan, who was elected to the Supervisory Board as Commercial Director, is Deputy Chairman of the Wellglade Group, who operates Trent Barton Buses, and is a Board member and Business Representative of D2N2, the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
He has also served as President and Board member of the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce, where he continues to play an active role, and is a member of the University of Derby Invest to Grow panel.
Hari Punchihewa, a member of the University of Derby Executive Team, was elected as Finance Director, Ian McFarlane, a retired Board member at Briggs of Burton PLC, was confirmed as Facilities Director and former Derbyshire and England fast bowler Mike Hendrick is the Club’s new Cricket Advisory Director.
Kirpal Bidmead, who is Head of the Family Law Team at Flint Bishop LLP, has been elected as Legal Services Director, while Jason Fage was re-elected as Administration Director.
