On his first day back in training with Derbyshire, all rounder Luis Reece says he is hoping to impress and earn a starting place as pre-season preparations continue at The 3aaa County Ground.
The former Lancashire man joined the Club in October 2o16 on a two-year contract before heading to Australia to join up with Gosnells Cricket Club for a third successive season.
Now in training with Derbyshire, Reece is targeting a place in all formats and arrives with a first-class batting average of 32.67, in addition to 22 wickets at first-team level.
Reece said: “Hopefully I can impress in the next month or so and get myself on the team sheet.
“All I can do is train and work as hard as I can to hopefully get the nod at the start of the year.
“It’s a new challenge and a challenge that I am very excited about. Derbyshire is a great club and a club that I was very excited about joining.”
