Derbyshire pair Imran Tahir and Matt Henry are set to be in Indian Premier League (IPL) action this month as the explosive Twenty20 tournament gets underway.

Tahir, currently ranked as the world’s limited overs bowler, was snapped up by Rising Pune Supergiants following Mitchell Marsh’s shoulder injury, whilst fast bowler Henry has been signed by Kings XI Punjab.

Leg-spinner Tahir has had great success in the competition, previously representing the Dehli Daredevils and taking 29 wickets at an average of 21.48 across three campaigns.

Having previously been signed by the Chennai Super Kings, Henry will be looking to impress for Kings XI Punjab after being successful in the IPL auction in February.

The New Zealand international has played in 59 domestic Twenty20 matches and taken 52 wickets at an average of 29.25.

Tahir joins Derbyshire in June and will be available for all formats, whilst Henry comes in for the NatWest T20 Blast competition in July and August.
