Derbyshire County Cricket Club’s official IT partner, ICU IT, has been supporting the Club in its preparations for this summer’s ICC Women’s World Cup.

ICU has provided a full range of IT services including support, project implementation, consultancy and advice during the construction of the Club’s new £2.2million OKI Business & Media Centre.

The state-of-the-art facility, which meets both England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and International Cricket Council (ICC) standards, was instrumental in the Club being selected as an ICC Women’s World Cup host venue.

Simon Lewsley, Director at ICU IT, said: “Not only is it a pleasure working with a forward-thinking organisation like Derbyshire Cricket Club, but the synergy both organisations exhibit, enables us to work seamlessly as their official IT partner, strategically guiding the organisation’s IT has enabled flexibility and efficiency of the clubs’ IT systems.

“The ICC Women’s World Cup coming to Derby is a fantastic opportunity, to not only raise the profile of many talented sportspeople and showcase The 3aaa County Ground, but also to bring further trade to Derby.

“I’m proud that we at ICU IT can do our bit to make this event a success.”

Ryan Duckett, Commercial Director at Derbyshire CCC, said: “We have made significant investment in our facilities at The 3aaa County Ground over the last few years and this has included a complete overhaul of our IT systems and infrastructure.

“We have received tremendous support from ICU IT, not only improving performance for staff and visitors to the ground but also as we are gear up for hosting the ICC Women’s World Cup later this summer.

“It is huge honour to be a host venue for this global tournament and we are confident that the support we have had from ICU will allow us to showcase the Club and the city to the many people attending or following the tournament from right across the world.”
