Captain Billy Godleman says the Derbyshire squad know their strengths and can adapt to the opposition as they head into the Royal London One-Day Cup game away at Yorkshire Vikings on Sunday 7 May.
Godleman said: “We are very pleased with the way we have gone about our batting. As a group we have managed to post two competitive totals and in regards to fielding we have fought very hard and have generally fielded very well.
“Certain segments of play within the fifty overs has been really positive, it is very much a team effort here and to post over 300 in back-to-back fifty over games means we are doing things well.”
Derbyshire face Yorkshire Vikings on Sunday 7 May at Headingley and will be looking to continue their recent good form as the group stages reach the halfway point.
Godleman added: “We are almost halfway through the competition and the guys are very much into the swing of white ball cricket.
“We are very clear about our strengths in the one-day game and it’s about adapting to the conditions and the opponents you face in the moment and playing as best we can.”
