Shiv Thakor says the side need to learn from coming out on the wrong end of results as Derbyshire go into their last Royal London One-Day Cup game against Worcestershire.
The all-rounder is currently the leading wicket-taker for Derbyshire in the one-day tournament with 12 wickets and he has hit 214 runs, with a high score of 130 against Northants.
Thakor said: “Every time we go out were looking to win the game and tomorrow will be no different. It’s the last home game of the competition and the Sky cameras are here which is always nice.
“We don’t have them here often so when we do it’s a great time for everyone to showcase the Club and us as a team to put on a great show. We want to end on a good result and get two points.”
The 23-year old added: “We’ve had two very good wins chasing, which in the past we often haven’t gotten over the line so it’s a huge positive and in that sense the team has come a long way.
“It’s just about making sure what we have done really well we do more consistently and focus on the good things and hopefully we get a good win tomorrow.
“There have been a few very close games really, unfortunately, we have come out on the wrong end but we know we’ve just got to be better and learn from them. Very often if you want to get to the knockout stages you’ve got to win those kinds of games.”
