An impressive bowling display saw Derbyshire dismiss Nottinghamshire for 229 on Day One of the Specsavers County Championship match at Trent Bridge.

Surrey loan signing Conor McKerr set the tone for the bowling performance, picking up his first of two debut wickets with the tenth delivery of the morning. Tony Palladino took four and Tom Taylor two as Derbyshire took all three bowling bonus points.

Luis Reece fell early in the Derbyshire reply and Shiv Thakor was out to the last ball of the day as Derbyshire closed on 52-2 from 18.4 overs in their first innings.
