Over 600 parents and children met the Derbyshire players and took part in cricket activities at the annual Cricket Derbyshire Family Fun Day, on Saturday 17 June.

The popular annual event was an opportunity to have fun in the sunshine at The 3aaa County Ground, with children of all ages taking part in cricket activities as well as fun family games.

With temperatures rising to 30 degrees, families were able to enjoy an ice cream outside as the young fans tackled the inflatable assault course, played air hockey and challenged each other on the table football.

Inside, first team players including Wayne Madsen and Tony Palladino led packed coaching clinics and passed on their expert knowledge to the young players.

Over 250 mini bats were given out on the day so the young Falcons supporters could get them signed and pose for photographs with the players.

Each under-16 who attended also claimed tickets to the Club’s first home NatWest T20 Blast match at Derby on Tuesday 25 July. These are now available to collect from reception in The 3aaa Pavilion; open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

We hope everyone had a great time and we look forward to welcoming you back to The 3aaa County Ground soon.

NatWest T20 Blast is back this July and August. Save £4 by purchasing your matchday tickets in advance. While further discounts are available for groups of 10 or more. Buy online today to secure your place and save.
