England Captain Heather Knight returned from injury to take three wickets as England defeated India in a warm-up fixture at Loughborough ahead of the ICC Women’s World Cup.
In a dress rehearsal for the first match of the tournament – to be played in front of an expected sell-out crowd at Derby – England batted first and made 244 all out from their 50 overs.
Nat Sciver again impressed with the bat making 69, while opener Lauren Winfield scored 50 before being run out. In reply, India were dismissed for 103.
The two teams will next meet each other in the sold-out opening fixture of the ICC Women’s World Cup on Saturday 24 June at Derby; 10.30am start.
Tickets are also available for the other seven games at Derby, which includes India vs Pakistan, England vs New Zealand and the second Semi Final.
Prices start at £10 for adults, £5 for students (aged between 17 and 23) and £2 for under-16s.
