An unbeaten century from Harvey Hosein helped the Derbyshire Seconds to a good position going into the final day of their Second XI Championship match versus Worcestershire.
Hosein reached the milestone on the way to Derbyshire hitting 390 in their first innings, including a 157-run partnership between the wicketkeeper-batsman and Callum Brodrick, who hit 76.
Patrick Brown (2-59) had Michael Jones lbw early on in the day for 35, before Tom Wood (46) and Matt Critchley put on 77 for the fifth wicket.
Ben Twohig (5-87) bowled Critchley for 42 and shortly after, Wood was caught by Josh Dell off the bowling of Twohig for 46, Derbyshire pegged back in their reply.
Hosein and Brodrick rebuilt the innings as the pair batted nicely, contributing a 157-run partnership until Brodrick edged behind to the gloves of Joe Dodd.
Tom Milnes was bowled by Twohig for eight, before Rob Hemmings hit a quickfire 40, including five fours and two sixes.
Ben Cotton was caught behind by Dodd off Alexei Hepburn (1-51) to end the innings, with Hosein finishing unbeaten on 105 and Derbyshire in a good position.
Worcestershire finished the second day 33-0 trailing by 134 as Ollie Westbury hit 18 not out and George Rhodes added an unbeaten 15.
