Harvey Hosein finished unbeaten on 53 as rain forced a draw in the Second XI Championship fixture between Derbyshire and Northamptonshire at Belper Meadows CC.
Derbyshire declared on 201-8 in their first innings, but persistent rain across all three days meant that no further play was possible.
After being put into bat, Ben Slater fell in the first over of the innings, before Michael Jones (34) and Charlie Macdonell added 35 for the second wicket.
Macdonell (20) was caught by Aneesh Kapil off Steven Crook and shortly afterwards, Tom Wood was bowled by Miles Richardson for 17.
Matt Critchley added 19 and Tom Milnes eight as Hosein struck two fours on his way to fifty.
Callum Brodrick was out without scoring, caught by Crook off Richard Gleeson, before Rob Hemmings was last man out, caught by Zaakir Khawaja off Gleeson for 17.
The hosts declared on 201-8 from 61.2 overs but further rain brought an end to the final day, the match finishing in a draw.
The Second XI are next in action against Worcestershire in the Second XI Championship on Tuesday 13 June at Stourbridge CC.
