Derbyshire Second XI closed Day Two of their Championship fixture against Yorkshire with a first innings lead as trialist Michael Jones hit a ton and Greg Cork added 75.
Derbyshire were all out for 383 and Yorkshire closed on 47 without loss as the hosts resume on the final day trailing Derbyshire by 34 runs at York Cricket Club.
Will Rhodes (2-44) made the first breakthrough of the day as Charlie Macdonell was caught for 16 by James Wainman. Harvey Hosein added 20 before he was caught off the bowling of Karl Carver (4-76).
Debutante Joss Morgan was bowled for six as Carver claimed his second wicket of the day.
Michael Jones (100) reached his century off 207 balls, including 13 fours and one six, as Derbyshire pushed on in search of a lead. Shortly after he reached the milestone he was trapped lbw to Carver, Derbyshire 217-5.
Tom Milnes added 26 before he was caught off Azeem Rafiq (1-78) and Rob Hemmings scored 48 in quick time as Derbyshire went in front.
Josh Lacey, making his first appearance for Derbyshire, scored eight and Greg Cork hit a well-made 75 before he was caught from a Wainman (2-76) delivery.
Hamidullah Qadri and Ben Cotton were the last wickets to fall as Derbyshire were all out for 383.
Yorkshire closed on 47-0 and will resume with Tom Kohler-Cadmore on 30 and Jonathan Tattersall on 16.
