Hamidullah Qadri has been named the Showcase Cinema de Lux Player of the Month for June after recording his maiden five-wicket haul in guiding Derbyshire to their first Specsavers County Championship victory in 27 attempts.
The 16-year old off-spinner returned match figures of 6-76 on debut verus Glamorgan, including his maiden five-fer on the final day, to help dismiss the hosts for 172 at Cardiff as Derbyshire secured their first Specsavers County Championship win of the season.
Qadri, who received 51% of the vote, has been rewarded with an England Under 19s call-up for the five-match Royal London One-Day series against India in August.
