Hamidullah Qadri has been selected for the England Young Lions squad for the first half of the winter programme.
The 16-year-old, who impressed for England Under 19s earlier in the summer, will begin the winter programme in South Africa, with the schedule continuing after Christmas with the ICC Under-19s World Cup in New Zealand.
The Cricket Derbyshire Academy in partnership with the University of Derby graduate became the youngest Derbyshire player ever to represent the county in first-class cricket when he made his debut in the win over Glamorgan at Cardiff in June.
He went on to take six wickets in the fixture, including a match-winning return of 5-60 in the final innings as Derbyshire completed their first of three four-day victories in 2017.
Qadri featured in three Specsavers County Championship matches, one NatWest T20 Blast and one List A fixture this summer, and went on to represent England Under 19s in two one-day fixtures against India in August.
The Tri-Series against South Africa and Namibia, for which Qadri is selected, gets underway on 23 November, before concluding on 10 December in Potchefstroom.
