Derbyshire County Cricket Club has kicked off another exciting year for the Club and its Principal Partners, 3aaa Apprenticeships.
The Club held its annual season media launch on Thursday and the Derbyshire first team squad were joined by 3aaa Apprenticeships’ Co-founders Peter Marples and Di McEvoy-Robinson.
The hugely successful partnership, launched in 2014, sees 3aaa Apprenticeships hold the naming rights for The 3aaa County Ground and sponsor the Club’s Vitality Blast kit.
The Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ national training provider has also provided Derbyshire with a number of talented Apprentices across all areas of the business and now provide members of the off-field staff with a bespoke Leadership and Management programme.
Derbyshire Chief Executive, Simon Storey said: “We are now entering the fifth year of our partnership with 3aaa Apprenticeships and it has been a positive relationship throughout. We both share a commitment to developing our people and adding value to the local community.
“On and off the pitch, the partnership has been extremely positive and we are very grateful for the constant support that we get from Pete, Di and the rest of the team at 3aaa and we look forward to this continuing in 2018.”
With 3aaa Apprenticeships’ continued support, Derbyshire has been able to continue its investment on-the-field, while also improving facilities at The 3aaa County Ground, as the venue looks forward to an exciting year of events, which includes hosting the world’s biggest girl group, Little Mix, live in concert on Thursday 19 July.
Derbyshire leading batsman in the Vitality Blast last summer, Wayne Madsen, discussed the importance of the partnership. He said: “Our ongoing partnership with 3aaa is a huge support to us as a Club as we look to inspire people through the power of sport and add value to our local community.
“In addition to this, the 3aaa Apprentices add great value to our Club and we, as players, spend a great deal of time with the Marketing and Media Apprentices, in particular. They are an absolute asset to the Club”.
3aaa Apprenticeships are currently at the start of an exciting year themselves, with the Apprenticeship Levy now in full effect.
The government initiative, which came into place in April 2017, has dramatically changed the Apprenticeship world and 3aaa Apprenticeships are widely known as the thought leaders within the industry.
They work closely with their partnering clients to help them utilise their Apprenticeship funds effectively, with over £40million worth of levy funds under their management nationwide.
Group Chief Executive and Co-Founder of 3aaa Apprenticeships, Peter Marples commented “We are delighted to be supporting Derbyshire again and deepening our partnership with the club. We have enjoyed a fruitful business relationship and our involvement with the club works for us as a business.
It is especially pleasing to support our home county and city, where our business of nearly 500 staff is headquartered. We wish everyone our best wishes for the forthcoming season and particularly hope we can go two steps further than last year in the Vitality Blast.”
Sharing similar values of adding value to the local community and using the Power of Sport to offer life changing opportunities to a range of different people, the two organisations both look set for an exciting year.
