Duanne Olivier took 4-26 and the Derbyshire openers hit an unbeaten stand of 118, as the hosts put themselves in a good position after Day Two versus Middlesex at The 3aaa County Ground.

Olivier was the pick of the bowlers, whilst the other three seamers all took two apiece as Derbyshire dismissed Middlesex for 157, earning a first innings lead of 108.

Ben Slater (63 not out) and Luis Reece (47 not out) batted for the remainder of the day, adding an unbeaten 118 opening partnership to give the hosts a lead of 226 heading into Day Three.
