Gary Wilson hit an unbeaten half-century and there were contributions from Alex Hughes, Matt Critchley and Hardus Viljoen as Derbyshire drew with Leicestershire on the final day.
Wilson’s knock of 64 not out, aided by runs throughout the middle and lower order, propelled Derbyshire to 251-8 declared on Day Four, enough to earn a second bonus batting point in a rain-affected draw.
Derbyshire claimed 10 points to lift them to second in the Specsavers County Championship Division Two table, behind next week’s opponents Warwickshire after two matches.
