Wayne Madsen hit 55 and Tony Palladino batted for almost two hours for 30 not out as Derbyshire secured a draw against Glamorgan at Swansea.
Fine centuries from Kiran Carlson (152) and Usman Khawaja (126) gave Glamorgan a platform to attack in the morning and go on to post 403-7, setting Derbyshire 325 to win.
Unable to challenge the total, Derbyshire lost wickets at regular intervals, but Madsen’s knock, followed by resolute batting from Palladino and Duanne Olivier (6 not out), earned a draw and 11 points for Derbyshire.
