Matt Critchley took career best figures of 6-106 to inspire Derbyshire to a thrilling 39-run victory over Northamptonshire on Day Four at Queen’s Park, Chesterfield.
All-rounder Critchley impressed with both bat and ball as he added to his half-century in Derbyshire’s second innings to also finish with ten wickets in the match – the first of his career – while Hamidullah Qadri claimed figures of 3-66.
Derbyshire secured their second win of the Specsavers County Championship campaign, after taking seven wickets in the morning session on day four whilst conceding just 100 runs.
