An exciting batsman, Ben Duckett headlines an explosive Steelbacks batting line-up. A young cricketer who came into prominence in 2016, Duckett has quickly become a valued asset for Northants, especially in white-ball cricket.
The 23-year old helped the Steelbacks to the T20 Blast title in 2016, as he led the team for scoring runs throughout the competition while he also produced an impressive performance on Finals Day.
Duckett hit a blistering 84 from 47 balls in the semi-final against Notts Outlaws at Edgbaston to showcase his explosive batting ability.
The opening batsman’s talents were recognised by England, as he went on to record two-half centuries in three matches while he also hit a double-hundred against Sri Lanka ‘A’ for the England Lions.
Duckett has continued his fine form into this summer’s Vitality Blast as he leads the Steelbacks for runs with 194 at a strike rate of over 175, including two half-centuries.
The former England star is approaching 1,400 career runs in twenty-over cricket at a strike rate of over 130, with a career-best score of 96 in the opening T20 Blast match against Leicestershire Foxes.
