Derbyshire were bowled out for 220 on the final day to slip to a 171-run defeat to Kent in the four-day friendly at Denby.
Hassan hit 85 and Matt McKiernan added 46, but five wickets for Adam Riley (5-77) ended Derbyshire’s chances in the chase.
Resuming on 375-6, Kent quickly added a further 74 runs as Jordan Cox reached 63 before he was out to McKiernan.
Khan’s unbeaten 70 from 54 balls accelerated the run rate and Kent were soon able to declare on 449-7, setting Derbyshire 392 runs to win.
The Derbyshire response stuttered early on, as five wickets fell for just 54 runs, with Riley ripping through the top order.
James Kettleborough (3) was caught by Cox, whilst Callum Brodrick fell without scoring in a golden spell for the Kent fast bowler.
Hassan and McKiernan gave Derbyshire hope of batting out for the draw, adding 107 for the sixth wicket, until McKiernan was out to Khan, caught by the irrepressible Riley.
Wickets continued to fall, and although Hassan batted nicely for his 85, once he was the ninth man out Kashif Ali wrapped up the match three balls later to give Kent a 171-run victory.
