Billy Godleman hit a well-paced 95 as Derbyshire posted 251 on Day One of the Specsavers County Championship match against Glamorgan at The 3aaa County Ground.
Godleman notched his third half-century of the campaign on a day where he also passed 4,000 first-class runs for Derbyshire.
Gary Wilson and Matt Critchley both made 26, before a final wicket partnership of 27 between Tony Palladino (16 not out) and Ravi Rampaul (18) secured a second batting bonus point for the hosts. Glamorgan closed the day 20-0.
