Lockie Ferguson claimed 4-56, but Gloucestershire ran out two-wicket winners on the final day of the season at The 3aaa County Ground.
The fast bowler clawed Derbyshire back into the match on Day Three, but a half-century from Benny Howell (58) and runs for Miles Hammond (39) helped the visitors chase down 179 runs to win.
