Matt Critchley hit an unbeaten 87 as Derbyshire recovered to close on 222-6 at the end of Day Two at Lord’s.

Middlesex added 66 for the last wicket to take the hosts past 400 and into a commanding position in Derbyshire’s final away game of 2018.

Derbyshire were soon four down, but Critchley batted nicely alongside Gary Wilson (31) and Anuj Dal to guide Derbyshire to over 200 at the close.
