All-rounder Martin Andersson has been recalled by Middlesex from his loan spell at Derbyshire.

The 22-year-old joined Derbyshire on loan last week and picked up figures of 4-25 against Glamorgan on debut at The 3aaa County Ground.

Andersson has been recalled to Middlesex to provide cover for seamer Tim Murtagh, who whilst initially named in this week’s squad to face Kent, has withdrawn this morning suffering from high temperature and illness relating to an abscess in the mouth.

He goes straight into the Middlesex squad to face Kent at Lord’s.

Four-day cricket is back! Derbyshire host their final Specsavers County Championship match of the season against Gloucestershire from Monday 24 September. Buy your tickets in advance and save.
