Tony Palladino claimed his maiden 10-wicket match haul as Derbyshire defeated Glamorgan by 169 runs at The 3aaa County Ground.
Palladino finished with his career-best match figures of 10-81, while Martin Andersson claimed his maiden first-class wickets to record figures of 4-25 on his 22nd birthday to dismiss Glamorgan for 132 on Day Three.
Earlier in the match, Billy Godleman hit 95, the highest score of the game, while Alex Hughes recorded his third half-century of the campaign in a dominant display by the hosts. Derbyshire take 21 points from the match.
Palladino continued his fine form into the third day as he claimed the opening two wickets in the space of five overs to reduce the visitors to 33-3. Tom Cullen (4) was bowled in Palladino’s second over, before he dismissed Kiran Carlson lbw for four.
He was involved again in the fourth wicket as David Lloyd (1) pulled a short delivery from Lockie Ferguson to Palladino at fine-leg.
Chris Cooke was defiant in defence for the visitors to nullify Palladino and Ferguson but Martin Andersson came into the attack to take his first wicket for Derbyshire.
The 21-year old had Brown (11) caught behind in the 18th over, before Graham Wagg was out without scoring, edging a swinging delivery to Wayne Madsen at slip two overs later.
Cooke continued to keep the scoreboard ticking but he was running out of partners as Andersson returned to take two wickets in three balls. Ruaidhri Smith (9) was also caught in the slips by Gary Wilson and Andersson had Tim van der Gugten caught and bowled without scoring.
Glamorgan recovered to reach 107-8 at lunch as Cooke brought up his half-century from 59 balls, including seven boundaries.
After a rain delay, play resumed as the Glamorgan batsman Cooke and Bull remained resolute to frustrate the Derbyshire bowling attack. However, Ferguson picked up his second wicket in the tenth over after the restart to dismiss Cooke for 67, leaving the hosts one wicket from victory.
There was a late resistance from Michael Hogan before Palladino took his fourth in the innings to remove him for 11 and inspire Derbyshire to victory.
