Derbyshire has named a 13-man squad for the county’s final match of the 2018 season against Gloucestershire at The 3aaa County Ground, starting on Monday 24 September (10.30am start).
Matt Critchley (105) and Billy Godleman (105 not out) both hit centuries in Derbyshire’s last match against Middlesex at Lord’s, while Luis Reece made his first appearance since May after returning from injury.
A couple of milestones can be achieved at The 3aaa County Ground this week. Wayne Madsen requires just 12 runs to reach 1,000 first-class runs for the season and Tony Palladino need only one more wicket to have 50 for the campaign.
Young seamer Alfie Gleadall is the only injury absentee, he remains unavailable due to a lower back stress fracture.

Gloucestershire currently sit in seventh place in Division Two, one place behind Derbyshire, on 138 points with four wins this summer.
Chris Dent is the county’s leading run scorer with 814 runs at an average of 35.39 and with a top score of 214 not out. 21-year-old James Bracey is just behind on 757 runs at an average of 34.40.
The Club has three bowlers with over 40 wickets this summer, with Craig Miles (48 wickets at 22.58), Ryan Higgins (43 wickets at 19.30) and Matt Taylor (42 wickets at 26.71) all enjoying success with the ball this season.
