Derbyshire’s home Specsavers County Championship match against Glamorgan will start a day earlier than previously published, now beginning on Sunday 19 May.
The four-day fixture, which was due to begin on Monday 20 May, will start a day earlier at the Club’s request to offer an additional day of weekend cricket in Derby next summer. The match will run from Sunday 19 to Wednesday 22 May.
The away fixture, which will again take place at St Helen’s, Swansea, has also been moved at request of the home county and will now take place from Tuesday 11 to Friday 14 June.
Interim Chief Executive, Ryan Duckett said: “Following the fixture announcement at the end of November, we have explored ways we can offer more weekend cricket in 2019.
“We are grateful to Glamorgan for agreeing to change the start date for our match in May. It will mean that, in total, we will host 11 days of weekend cricket next summer.
“Membership is still the best value way to watch cricket in Derby next summer and we hope many Members, new and old, will join us in 2019.”
