Derbyshire quick Hardus Viljoen has been selected by Kings XI Punjab for the 2019 Indian Premier League.

The fearsome bowler, who was regularly clocked at over 90mph in the recent T10 series in Sharjah, has impressed in the shorter formats of the game in recent seasons, claiming wickets in tournaments across the globe.

He spearheaded the Northern Warriors attack and led his side to T10 victory with a tournament-record 18 wickets at an average of 7.77 and best figures of 3-6.

This came after another impressive Vitality Blast campaign with Derbyshire, during which the tall quick claimed 13 wickets at an average of 20.

He will join up with Kings XI Punjab in March ahead of the tournament which runs from 29 March until 19 May.

Go well, Hardus.
