In the first edition of our #WeAreDerbyshire Stories feature in 2019, we hear from batsman Adrian Rollins about the best players he played with and against while in a Derbyshire shirt.
The Cricket Derbyshire Foundation’s Oral History of Cricket in Derbyshire project, which is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, has recorded recollections from almost 200 participants.
These include former and current players, and focused on audio-visual reminiscences about cricket at every level within the county, from grassroots to the Test arena.
It is this fabric of players, coaches, volunteers and supporters which all contribute greatly to make up cricket in Derbyshire.
In this ninth edition, Rollins discusses the masterful Mohammad Azharuddin and a lightning spell of fast bowling from Allan Donald.
