Notts Outlaws squad: To be announced.
Billy Godleman was pleased with his side’s performance after Derbyshire beat Northants Steelbacks by 53 runs on Good Friday.
The 30-year-old hit a fine 87 to guide his side to victory on, and he was also impressed from what he saw on Leus du Plooy’s debut for the club.
Godleman said: “Although it was our choice to bat first we definitely didn’t have the easy end of the conditions so to find a way to get a score on the board and then the way the guys bowled and fielded in the first 10 overs was what won us the game.
“I was finding it hard work out there but I did just have a feeling if we were able to post 250 or 260 and bowled well up front, we would be well in the game so it worked out nicely.
“With the time in the game when he came out to bat and what the ball was doing off the surface, I thought he played really well.
“He was tidy in the field and he’s a top lad as well so I think he’s a great addition for us.
“It always helps to win the first game and the home fixture against Notts is one of, if not the biggest game of the season so we’re ready and we can’t wait.”
