Anuj Dal hit a half-century as Derbyshire’s Second XI fixture against Durham ended as a draw on Day Three at The Pattonair County Ground.
Fynn Hudson-Prentice also notched an unbeaten century, but the draw means Daryn Smit’s men remain undefeated after six matches so far this season.
Resuming on 41-2, the hosts were soon three down as Tom Wood was run out for 11, before Dal and Hudson-Prentice came together to add 161 runs for the fourth wicket.
Dal fell for 73 to end the partnership but Hudson-Prentice continued his fine form to reach his century and take Derbyshire past a 350-run lead.
The hosts eventually declared on 291-7 at tea, seting Durham 395 runs to win, with Hudson-Prentice finishing on 137 not out.
Derbyshire got off to a strong start in the visitors’ reply as Tony Palladino removed Ross Greenwell for 2, but Ryan Pringle hit a quick-fire half-century to accelerate the score past 100.
Pringle (106 not out) then reached his century off 75 balls alongside Graham Clark (46 not out), before both teams shook hands on a draw to bring an end to the match.
