Last year, the Falcons beat Yorkshire by 77 runs, the largest margin of victory that Derbyshire have ever managed in Twenty20 cricket.
Wayne Madsen led the way with the bat, hitting 66 from just 28 deliveries, while Wahab Riaz struck 42 from 30 and Alex Hughes took 3-12 as the visitors secured the win at Emerald Headingley.
Derbyshire get their Vitality Blast campaign underway at home to Yorkshire Vikings on Saturday 20 July in a big local derby at the picturesque Queen’s Park.
They welcome rivals Notts Outlaws to The Pattonair County Ground the following Friday (26 July) in what is expected to be another hotly-contested match-up in front of a packed crowd in Derby.
Led by new Twenty20 Head Coach, Dominic Cork, the Falcons play a total of seven home matches during the height of summer in July and August.
