Reusable cups will be available to all supporters at The Pattonair County Ground, as the club commits to cut down on single-use plastic.

The cups, which feature a unique design, will be introduced ahead of the first Vitality Blast game of the summer in Derby, against Notts Outlaws on Friday 26 July.

Purchased for a refundable deposit of £1, the cups will be used for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and can be refilled throughout each matchday, before being returned or kept as a souvenir.

The club is encouraging supporters to share photos of themselves using the cups away from the ground for the chance to win a signed Derbyshire bat.

Added to the reusable cups, more bars around the ground for high-capacity matches will ease queues and quicken the process of buying drinks.

Chief Executive, Ryan Duckett said: “As a club and a venue, we are committed to reducing our impact on the environment in any way we can and these reusable cups will help us drastically cut down on the single-use plastic we waste.

“Tickets for the Vitality Blast are selling well and we’re expecting big crowds at The Pattonair County Ground this summer. By introducing reusable cups, we aim to smooth out the process of buying drinks at our bars and improve our customer experience.”

Vitality Blast is back! Twenty20 cricket returns to Derbyshire this July and August. Tickets are available from just £16 for adults and £4 for under-16s. Buy online or call 01332 388 101.
