Cricket Derbyshire’s Family Fun Day, a free event where youngsters can meet the Derbyshire players and take part in fun activities, returns on Saturday 22 June; 10am to 1pm.

Over 500 local families have attended each of the last two annual events and it’s back for a fourth successive year in 2019. It is set to be the best event yet.

Taking place ahead of the new Vitality Blast campaign, which begins on Saturday 20 July, the event will include cricket activities run by Derbyshire Cricket Board, giant inflatables, outdoor games and more activities.

Activities

The Pattonair County Ground will once again host an enjoyable day for the whole family. The day will feature fun cricket sessions and a host of free family-friendly activities, including giant inflatables and table-top games.

Qualified coaches, and first team players, will be on hand to lead a number of cricket activities in the indoor cricket hall. These will include batting, bowling and catching activities, as you get a chance to test your skills – and ask the pros for any tips.

Refreshments will also be available, while Freddie the Falcon will also be around on the day – and he might even take part in a few of the day’s activities too.

Claim your FREE Vitality Blast tickets

All under-16s attending our Family Fun Day will also receive two FREE tickets to a Vitality Blast fixture.

It’s our way of saying thank you for attending and a chance for visitors to experience a night of fast-paced Twenty20 action at The Pattonair County Ground this July.

Simply complete a short form on the day to claim your tickets. T&Cs apply. Two free tickets per household. Tickets will be provided on the day.

It’s always a fun day and we hope many people will be able to join us.
