Overnight rain prevented any play on Day One of the Second XI Championship game against Worcestershire at Halesowen.
Play had been due to start at 11am, but after an initial inspection, umpires decided that lunch would be taken at 12:30pm, with a further inspection planned for 1:10pm.
Derbyshire will be hoping to build on their draw with Lancashire in their previous Second XI Championship game, in which Tyler McGladdery and Ewan Cox made half-centuries in the second innings.
Anuj Dal, Dustin Melton and Mark Watt all took wickets in the draw at Belper Meadows, they are all named in the 12-man squad for the match at Halesowen, which is led by captain Daryn Smit.
