A strong Derbyshire side will face a Derbyshire County Cricket League XI in a Twenty20 fixture at The Pattonair County Ground today, starting at 4pm.

The mach will give Derbyshire’s first-team players a chance to prepare for this year’s Vitality Blast, ahead of their opening game against Yorkshire at Queen’s Park, Chesterfield, on Saturday.

The squad will have the chance to impress new Twenty20 Head Coach, Dominic Cork in the match, which begins at 4pm with free admission.

Alex Hughes smashed 84 in a Second XI Twenty20 match against Nottinghamshire earlier this week, while Wayne Madsen hit a quickfire half-century in a win over Warwickshire at The Pattonair County Ground last week in preparation for this season’s competition.

Admission to the game is free, so don’t miss your chance to see Derbyshire in Twenty20 action before the start of the Vitality Blast.

Vitality Blast is back this month! Tickets for all seven home matches on sale now, including the big clash against Notts Outlaws on Friday 26 July. Buy online or call 01332 388 101.
