Derbyshire’s Vitality Blast match against Leicestershire Foxes will be the club’s new Twenty20 Family Fixture this summer.
The fixture will be played in front of the Sky Sports cameras on Thursday 15 August (7pm start) at The Pattonair County Ground – the final of three home T20 matches in seven days.
The Falcons were set to welcome over 1,000 local children and families from cricket clubs, schools and All Stars to the original Family Fixture (against Lancashire Lightning on Sunday 28 July) had the weather not intervened.
With that fixture abandoned, ALL complimentary tickets will remain valid for the remainder of the 2019 season, however the Twenty20 clash against Leicestershire Foxes has been designated as the club’s new Family Fixture.
An additional 350 pairs of tickets have been made available to the participants of the Derbyshire Cricket Board’s summer programmes for the televised fixture, which gets underway in front of the Sky Sports cameras at 7pm.
Having seen sell-out crowds for the two opening home matches of the 2019 Vitality Blast campaign, it’s a chance for more young people to experience top-class cricket at The Pattonair County Ground this summer.
As well as the pyrotechnics and big screen entertainment which comes with the TV cameras, there will be entertainment for the whole family at The Pattonair County Ground.
Back by popular demand, the BatFast Simulator will be in place at the Showcase Cinema de Lux Family Zone. Pit your skills against the bowling simulator and feel what it’s like to face fast bowling.
Family-friendly catering will also be available to the rear of the Family Zone, while there will be Cricket Factory mini-games, the Red Monkey Play Area and a host of giveaways, including our free autograph collection sheet.
