Lead Physiotherapist Fran Clarkson gives an update on current injuries within the squad.

Logan van Beek

The bowler sustained a mild AC joint sprain during the East Midlands Derby with Notts Outlaws last month and has not featured for the Falcons since.

He is progressing well and the medical staff are hopeful that he will return from injury within a week, as Derbyshire prepare for a run of four matches in quick-succession.

Sam Conners

The young bowler will undergo a period of shutdown from bowling due to lumbar spine stress, although it is hoped that Conners will be able to return to cricket in the next couple of weeks.

James Taylor

Taylor has suffered an ankle impingement flare up, with the medical department awaiting further scan reports to assess the full extent of the injury.

Mattie McKiernan

The all-rounder is progressing well in his return from the lower-back stress fracture suffered in pre-season, which has seen him miss all cricket in the current campaign.

McKiernan is likely to return within the next few weeks, with the club hopeful that he could still feature before the end of the season.
