Derbyshire picked up three wickets as bad light limited play on Day One in the Specsavers County Championship match against Middlesex.
Sam Robson struck 93, while Dawid Malan hit an unbeaten 51 as the hosts managed 176-3 in the 59 overs that were possible on the opening day.
Luis Reece, Sam Conners and Alex Hughes all claimed wickets for Derbyshire, before bad light brought an end to the day’s play.
