Billy Godleman says that Derbyshire are focused on their preparations for the Vitality Blast quarter-final against Gloucestershire.
The Falcons travel to Bristol on Saturday, as they aim to reach Finals Day for the first time in their history, having finished third in the North Group.
Godleman, along with Luis Reece, Wayne Madsen and Leus du Plooy has been part of a consistent top-order that has scored a combined 1,384 runs across 12 innings, while bowlers Ravi Rampaul (21) and Matt Critchley (15) are into double-figures for wickets claimed.
Derbyshire hosted Australia in red-ball action at The Pattonair County Ground last week, and Godleman says the side’s attention is now fully on a return to Twenty20 cricket.
“We were always going to take the tie that we got and we will spend this week preparing the best that we can,” said Godleman.
“It’s about turning up, playing the first half of the game well and putting ourselves in a position to get to Finals Day.
“A week is a long time in cricket, we will have the opportunity to get away from the game for a few days and then have a period to train intensely for Saturday.”
