Logan van Beek says that Derbyshire will be heading to Vitality Blast Finals Day with a winning mentality.
The bowler claimed nine wickets as the Falcons progressed through the North Group and beat Gloucestershire at Bristol to book their first-ever Finals Day appearance.
Derbyshire have won their last four Vitality Blast matches, defeating Northants, Leicestershire, Lancashire and Gloucestershire on their way to the final four.
With the squad full of confidence, van Beek says that the Falcons be looking to take their chance at Edgbaston.
“It has been a few days now, it’s really exciting and we are looking forward to next Finals Day,” said van Beek.
“Once you get to Finals Day, anything can happen. It just takes one or two guys to have a great day and it can make the difference.
“We have made it to Finals Day for a reason, we have been playing some good cricket. The guys have been in good form.
“It is not like we have fluked it, we have earned the right to be there and we should be feared just as much as any other side on the day.
“There’s no reason that we can’t carry on our momentum and win a couple more games to be there at the end on top.”
Throughout the competition, the Falcons have been strongly supported with sellout crowds watching home fixtures against Yorkshire and Notts Outlaws.
With another strong Derbyshire following expected at Finals Day, van Beek has spoken of his appreciation for the support.
“The support has been fantastic. Even in Bristol last week, we had a good number of supporters down there,” added van Beek.
“Being a smaller club, you get to know the supporters quite well and it’s always nice to see a familiar face at away matches.
“They have been undying all season, and win, lose or draw they are still backing us 100 per-cent, which is fantastic.”
