Fynn Hudson-Prentice claimed 3-8 as Lancaster Park CC produced a dominant performance to beat Burnside West Christchurch University CC by 68 runs, while three other Derbyshire players were in action abroad over the weekend.

The all-rounder made 21 with the bat as Lancaster Park were all out for 102, before fighting back by bowling six overs, three of which were maidens, and dismissed three of Burnside’s top order for just eight runs as they were bowled out for 34.

Hudson-Prentice has claimed five wickets in two Designer Homes Premiership One-Day Cup matches so far, after reaching double figures for Derbyshire in the Vitality Blast earlier this year.

Mattie McKiernan also picked up a wicket for South Hobart Sandy Bay CC in their victory over Glenorchy.

From his 8.5 overs, McKiernan claimed 1-21, taking the final wicket as Glenorchy were dismissed for 189, with South Hobart Sandy Bay chasing down their target in just 18.5 overs.

Following his 97 last weekend, Luis Reece was once again in action for Gosnells CC, where he managed one catch and one run out on the opening day of the two-day fixture against University, who managed 313.

Gosnells are yet to bat in the match, which will conclude on Saturday 2 November, with Reece set to open.

Matt Critchley also featured for Fairfield Liverpool CC as they were defeated by Blacktown Mounties CC in the NSW Premier Cricket – First Grade.

The Derbyshire all-rounder took 3-78 on the opening day of the fixture last weekend and added 39 runs with the bat on the final day, but his effort was in vain as Fairfield Liverpool were defeated by 181 runs.
