The MCC Legacy Tour of Nepal has drawn to a close, with Derbyshire Captain Billy Godleman enjoying a fruitful period with the bat.
Across six innings across first-class, 50-over and Twenty20 cricket, Godleman scored a total of 181 runs, at an average of 30.16, including two half-centuries.
Godleman was selected as part of a strong MCC side, and he soon made his mark on the tour by scoring 52 in a 50-over fixture against Nepal, having scored 22 against the Nepal under 19s side the day before.
After making scores of 10 and 39 in the only first-class match of the tour, which was against Nepal. Godleman top-scored with an impressive 54 in a T20 victory over the same opposition.
As announced in the summer of 2018, MCC has introduced into its overseas touring programme a series of Legacy Tours, aimed at leaving a sustainable and meaningful impact in developing cricket nations.
