All-rounder Matt Critchley was pleased with the performance of the entire team in Derbyshire’s nine-wicket victory over Leicestershire.
Critchley claimed career-best figures of 6-73 on Day Three, as Derbyshire moved to the top of the Bob Willis Trophy North Group with 44 points after the win at the Fischer County Ground.
While he stole the headlines on the final day, the all-rounder praised the contributions of his teammates, with Wayne Madsen, Leus du Plooy, Luis Reece, Harvey Hosein and Dustin Melton all making crucial contributions.
“I think to put in a performance like that after the Notts chase, with a change of personnel, and a young bowling attack just shows the depth of the squad.
“Apart from the fact we had to bat again at the end, it was a pretty complete performance, we lost the toss but bowled them out below 200.
“Wayne batted beautifully, as he often does against Leicestershire and, to bowled them out in the second innings, it was a good win.”
