Derbyshire will face Leicestershire in a two-day pre-season friendly, starting on Thursday 25 March.
Squads made up of first team members and Cricket Derbyshire Academy, in partnership with the University of Derby prospects will face Yorkshire in Derby, and Leicestershire at the Uptonsteel County Ground across the two-day period.
The fixtures present Dave Houghton, Mal Loye and Ajmal Shahzad the opportunity to assess their squad ahead of the new season, with Head of Talent Pathway, Daryn Smit, ensuring that the Academy maintains strong links with the first team.
Derbyshire will return to the setting of one of last season’s most emphatic victories in the Bob Willis Trophy, as Wayne Madsen’s stunning century and career-best figures of 6-73 from Matt Critchley secured a nine-wicket victory.
